This is a typical book club, discussion will be held at a Takoma Park cafe or restaurant (not at the library). We will discuss about 6 to 12 books a year rotating through a list of topics including Economics and Distribution, Environmental Politics. Since December 2011 we have met every Saturday from noon to 3pm to protest the sale of puppies from puppy mills at We Love Pets, a pet store in the shopping center at Baltimore Pike and Providence Road (Route 252). We try to educate the public about the evils of puppy mills and the pet stores that sell puppies from puppy mills. We feel that we are making great progress and many people thank us for our efforts.
